Honorary Consul

Werner Matthias Dornscheidt started his career in 1979 as a manager in the administration of foreign fairs for the Düsseldorf trade fair company. International trade fairs have remained the focus of his professional life.

After having served in a variety of roles at Messe Düsseldorf both in Germany and abroad, he took up the reins as CEO of the Board of Management at Messe Leipzig GmbH in 1999. There he gained experience in consular affairs as the Honorary Consul of Finland in the Free State of Saxony between 2000 and 2003.

With his appointment as President and CEO of Messe Düsseldorf, he returned to his native region, the Lower Rhine, on 1 January 2004. Mr. Dornscheidt considers it a great honour to represent the United Mexican States as Honorary Consul in North Rhine-Westphalia.

Assistant

Marisol Maldonado-Lara is a native speaker of Spanish and will act as assistant to Mr. Dornscheidt in attending to consular matters.
